Welcome to Ronne's Website Journal.
If anyone wants to keep up with me, you can always come to this page. I will no longer be using LiveJournal. It's easier for me to maintain all that stuff from one site as I am always pressed for time and I have decided to spend more time on my website and keeping it current. At least on this page, everyone will be able to see pictures of new art instead of following links here and there.
August 6, 2009--UPDATE
Local News: Well here it is in the middle of summer and it still hasn't been that hot of a summer here. It has actually been quite nice, perfect weather for the Murphy Bulldogs football teams! I can't believe that football season is actually here again. Practice has been going on since mid July. Luke (Termites) and Aaron (Mites) have been practicing 4 nights a week. We have a scrimmage game coming up I think around August 15th, I think against our biggest rival....Hayesville, but not sure. Yeehaw. We'll see how the Dogs do against those Yellow Jackets. I know it's just a scrimmage, but gosh, it still gets very competative. :O)
It's also almost time for the kids to start back to school, around August 25th. I dread for them to go back.....I have enjoyed them being home with me all day during the summer. Last year I even cried on the first day of school because the house seemed so quiet without them home and I missed them terribly. :o) And I also don't look foward to loads of homework.
Art News: Well I have started putting my available originals on this website, and I have several available. Not all of the originals are available here yet, but are at ebay HERE if interested in my newest creations, even just if you want to take a peek! Like I said, I will eventually have these placed here as well.
Also, for the sake of the local art shows and not everybody being a fairy art collector, I have been working on art that would be pleasing to all such as birds, including hummingbirds, flowers, landscapes, wildlife, etc, etc, might even paint a lighthouse or two. I am trying to focus more on art that is native to the area which I live in, because everybody wants a piece of the mountains.. :O)
Current Art in the Works: A 16x20 acrylic on masonite of a bird's eye view of a koi pond in summer with lily pads and a few purple geranium blossums as well as a small special effect of a light rain with droplets falling in the water. I plan on painting the 4 seasons with this same genre.
Other News: Well I have an art show coming up pretty quick on Labor Day Weekend if anyone local is interested or folks who are visiting from out of town, please stop by my booth at the the Heritage Walk & Festival located at Konehete Park, Murphy NC, on Saturday, September 5. I am in the Art and Crafts Show and will be there from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. I will be selling a large variety of items including originals, prints, etc.
Okay Folks, that's all I gotta say for now. Check back soon for more chit-chat and more new art updates!!
