About Ronne
Personal: I am a mother of three small children and I have a very wonderful husband named Matthew. We live in the mountains of western North Carolina, Murphy, to be exact. I am a full-time medical transcriptionist and work at home, a full-time mother of 3 children (Aaron 6, Luke 5, and Holly 3), a part-time educator at a local community college, a part-time etching artist at a local monument company and a novelist. Yet with my daily hectic life, I still manage to find a few scant moments to pick up a brush or a pencil and create fantasy art which is my favorite past time.

I have been drawing and painting since I was a little girl and love to dabble in all types of media, with acrylic being my first choice. I focus my attention on fantasy art, mainly fairies, but also paint in other genres, I just personally prefer to paint anything with a fantasy theme. I initially started painting fairies for personal satisfaction and enjoyment, but not long after I began painting, me and my husband received some rather shocking news; our son Luke was diagnosed with autism. Ever since we got the diagnosis, I have been selling original paintings, fine art prints, and much more merchandise to help cover the expenses of Luke's special needs, mainly his schooling and early intervention therapy. Autism can be diagnosed as early as 18 months. Links to websites to learn more about autism can be found on my Links page.

Hobbies: When I am not painting or working, I enjoy writing. I have published a historical romance novel and I am working on #2 at this point. I am also writing and illustrating a series of children's book which mainly deals with teaching morals and principles in a "fairy tale" story line. I also have a sci-fi novel on the back-burner....A few of my favorite things to do besides painting are: read, play video games, watch movies, and read books to my children. I am an avid Harry Potter fan and think that J.K. Rowling is bloody brilliant. I don't know what I'll do when the 7th book is released because it'll be all over with. I love to listen to the Harry Potter Audio series on CD while I paint. I also enjoy listening to the Chronicles of Narnia series. My favorite TV shows (when I get to watch TV) include Lost, The O.C., House, Ghost Hunters (actually my favorite), and American Idol. Oh yes, and I love to watch Jackie Chan Adventures with Aaron in the morning before he goes off to school...and who couldn't love SpongeBob...;O)

My motto: Everyone has a hidden talent, find it, develop it and use it to the upmost of your ability.
