This sweet fairy sits in a flower surrounded by bubbles. Even her Green Teddy Bear is enjoying riding on a bubble! This painting was actually inspired by my child's inability to say good-bye to his very special friend "Green Bear". Poor Green Bear was actually being held together by a safety pin on his leg. I think it hurt me worse to watch and standby as my young toddler finally said good-bye and put Green Bear in the garbage and I thought that was the last we would see him. Well lo and behold about 5 years later, I was cleaning up a storage room in my house and I took a double take as I saw a familiar set of green ears and black eyes staring at me from behind an old mattress. I couldn't believe my eyes when I reached behind there and pulled out "Green Bear" where he had stayed hidden for all that time. Needless to say, "Green Bear" now sits on a shelf high in my studio where he shall remain for the rest of time.
